Propane 101

Propane 101 is designed with one simple goal...to educate consumers about propane, sometimes referred to as LPG or LP Gas, so that they may better understand this valuable and efficient fuel as well as promote a more effective relationship between gas customers and their suppliers. The information within is an expanding resource that will attempt to explain LP Gas, gas systems and the uses of propane in the commercial, industrial and residential markets.

State Fire Marshall

Propane and fire safety as well as Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) requirements for above ground oil storage are important requirements in our field. Propane Education & Research Council

The Propane Education & Research Council is a program established, operated, and funded by the propane industry. The only energy council of its kind, PERC educates consumers about propane’s many uses and benefits, leads safety and training efforts among propane retailers and consumers, and drives technology development to expand adoption of propane as a clean, affordable, American-made energy source. PERC programs benefit a variety of industries including fleet vehicle management, landscaping, residential and commercial building, agriculture, and material handling.

Entry Level Driver Training

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requires all new CDL- and HME-applicants to successfully complete theory and behind-the-wheel training before they can take a state’s CDL or HME exams. The requirement is called Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT).

Truckers Against Trafficking

Modern-day slavery, or human trafficking exists whenever people are bought and sold for forced labor or commercial sex. Around the world, it is estimated that there are over 50 million slaves today. Human trafficking has been reported in all 50 states, and the number of victims in the United States is estimated in the hundreds of thousands.
